Andrea J. VanDyke

Andrea J. VanDyke has dedicated her legal career to serving clients by focusing on their individual goals and expectations and by doing what is right for them.  She strives to provide clients with peace of mind, by putting an estate plan in place that not only takes care of their family, but ensures their legacy is carried out.

Prior to her concentration on estate and special needs planning, Andrea had the privilege of serving as a felony level prosecutor in Illinois, where she conducted trials, sentencing hearings and grand jury proceedings.  Upon moving to Colorado, she continued her legal career as a prosecutor for the Aurora City Attorney’s Office.  Her love of advocacy and serving her community assisted Andrea in furthering her profession by working for the Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center, a non-profit children’s advocacy organization.  Andrea has served as a guardian ad litem where she helped protect, advocate for and provide legal representation to children in Colorado for over 9 years.

 Andrea received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and earned her Juris Doctor degree from Northern Illinois University College of Law.  She enjoyed gaining legal experience and learning different areas of the law through internships while working in Washington, D.C., at the Juvenile Justice Bureau of the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, for an Elder Law Clinic, and other law firms.  She served as the President of the Public Interest Law Society at the Northern Illinois College of Law and was recognized with awards for her dedication to public service.  

 Andrea has previously served on the Board of Directors for both the YWCA and Boys and Girls Club.
