Steven R. Owens
Steve received both his bachelors degree and masters degree, with honors, from the University of Colorado in Boulder, and his Juris Doctor degree, also with honors, from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He was Articles Editor of the Wisconsin Law Review and was admitted to The Order of the Coif, an honorary society reserved to those lawyers who graduate in the top 10 percent of their class at one of the top law schools in the United States.
Steve has written widely on various topics and his articles have been printed in both national and local publications.
He is an active member of the Colorado and Arizona Bar Associations, the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys, WealthCounsel, the Esperti-Peterson Institute of Sarasota, Florida, and the Southeast Denver Estate Planning Council.
A Colorado native with roots stretching back three generations into the Colorado mountains, Steve began his legal career with the Phoenix law firm of Streich Lang, PA, which was chosen as the top business law firm in Arizona by Corporate Counsel magazine. He founded The Law Office of Steven R. Owens, PC, in 1996, in Sedona, Arizona, and returned home to Greenwood Village in 2002.
Steve focuses on Legacy Planning using Integrated Wealth Strategies which brings together and coordinates personal estate planning, business planning, retirement planning and asset protection strategies for individuals and businesses.
